Hi! I’m Jonathan. I’ve decided to start a website for several reasons, but my main goal is to provide an outlet for my thoughts, specifically related to finance, markets, the economy, and more. Additionally, I want this website to serve as a way for me to reflect on my previous opinions. I’m not entirely sure where this journey will lead, but I’ll likely also share various aspects of my life, such as pictures, stories, trips, etc., since I’m not a big social media user.

I hope that my random stream of thoughts can provide some form of value, an alternative way of thinking, enjoyment, or perhaps simply serve as memories for loved ones when I’m no longer around.

A bit about me: I’m a Charlotte native, married, and a proud “father” to two pet cats who are thrilled to finally have a father figure in their lives. I completed my undergrad at Appalachian State University and earned my MS in Economics with a concentration in Financial Management from UNC Charlotte. Over the last ~8 years, I’ve been working in capital markets, specializing in interest rate and foreign exchange derivatives origination, as well as investment banking covering the media, telecommunications, and entertainment industries. My hobbies and interests include video games, snowboarding, working out, skating, street art, and traveling.
